Why are your mouthguards different from the other mouthguards available?
Our mouthguards are hand made, not machine- made and therefore from the moment the impression is taken until your mouthguard is fitted, maximum attention to detail ensures that you will be getting a uniquely bespoke mouthguard that results in a superior fit with greater comfort. This year, we are taking the impressions digitally, so making your whole mouthguard experience even better!
How long will it take to do the impressions for my mouthguard?
On average, it takes only 5-10 minutes to take the impressions.
Can you come to my club/school to have the impressions taken?
Yes, we are happy to visit you at a location convenient to you.
How long after the impression, can I expect to get my mouthguard?
Your mouthguard will be delivered to you and fitted in approximately 7-10 days.
What colours are available – I particularly want my school/club colours?
That is fine – we have a huge range of colours and designs and can make up school/club colours easily.
What happens if my child has loose or missing teeth – does it mean the mouthguard won't last as long?
No – when we take the impression, we take into account any missing/loose/erupting teeth and block out the space for the teeth to grow into. Our guards are designed to last approximately a year for younger children with changing dentition and a lot longer for the older children/adults, if they look after them!
What do I need to do when I first get my mouthguard?
Before wearing your guard for the first time, please rinse it with lukewarm water. After using it, please rinse it in cold water and put it back in the box that you have been sent with it.
What happens if I lose my guard?
One of our selling points is that we keep the models that the guards are made on for a year, therefore if you lose your guard, provided the teeth have not changed, we can make you another one at a much reduced cost. We are also happy to make 2 guards at the outset (the second one will be at a reduced price compared to the first), so that you can have one for school and one for club if you so wish.
How do I look after my mouthguard?
To clean your mouthguard, rinse off any mud or debris with lukewarm/cold water and brush gently with a nailbrush or a toothbrush. Your mouthguard should either be in your mouth or in the box that we will provide for you! Make sure that your mouthguard is not put into your pocket, as these have a habit of finding their way into the washing machine or the tumble dryer – this will cause them to distort and then they will not fit properly and therefore will not protect your teeth.
